Our Story
Does it really matter how a remodeler FEELS about remodeling? That’s kind of a weird question, I know. But I think it’s an extremely important one.
I started remodeling in the Phoenix Metro area because I absolutely LOVE remodeling. My father-in-law and brother were both remodelers, and I worked for them since I was just 15 years old. It’s all I’ve ever known, and all I ever wanted to do. I continued working with my father-in-law throughout high school and went on to be a certified Home Inspector years later in 2004. What a crazy time with the housing market on the brink of failing.
Shortly thereafter in 2005, I started working for a remodeling company as a GM with a dream of creating (literally) the valley’s greatest remodeling company... and the number-one choice for a remodeling contractor in Phoenix. I soon had a list of my “Dream Team” of professionals who focus on two things—and TWO THINGS ONLY: Quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
As with all companies that I worked for – the owners were worried about profits over quality. So for different companies over the next 10 years I managed more than 1,500 customer projects.
Although I made sure that MY customers were happy I was at the mercy of the owners mentality of running their business the way they did – For Profits with little care of customer satisfaction.
So I started this company and in a short time and we boast nearly a 100% customer satisfaction rate. Apparently, we’re doing something right. That’s what happens when you’re really good at what you do. More importantly, that’s what happens when you absolutely LOVE what you do and truly CARE about your clients.

What types of customers have you worked with?
All types:
- Loyal Customers: They represent no more than 20 percent of our customer base, but make up more than 50 percent of our sales.
- Discount Customers: They shop our stores frequently, but make their decisions based on the size of our markdowns.
- Impulse Customers: They do not have to buy a particular item at the top of their “To Do” list, but come into the store on a whim. They will purchase what seems good at the time.
- Need-Based Customers: They have a specific intention to buy a particular type of item.
- Wandering Customers: They have no specific need or desire in mind when they come into the store. Rather, they want a sence of experience and/or community.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Check them out and call and talk to them at their office - You will know right away if once you have them in your home if the salesman will use "High pressure sales tactitics' to get you to buy.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
- Will the remodeling contractor provide you with a written contract that clearly spells out exactly what he will do, what his price includes and does not include including a guaranteed price, payment schedule and a completion date?
- Does the remodeling contractor carry general liability insurance?
- Does the remodeling contractor carry worker’s compensation insurance?
- Will the remodeling contractor provide you with a written lien waiver at the end of the job?
- Does the remodeling contractor subscribe to a Code of Ethics?
- Is the remodeling contractor Licensed, Bonded and Insured?
- Is the remodeling contractor A+ rated with the local Better Business Bureau?
- Does the remodeling contractor offer a written warranty on all workmanship and is it at least 2-years?
- Will the remodeling contractor pull any necessary permits?
- Who will be in charge of my job? May I meet this person or persons?
- Will the remodeling contractor provide you with references? (more than three recommended)
- What percentage of the contractor’s business is repeat or referral based?
- How many projects like yours has the contractor completed in the last year or two?
- How does the remodeling contractor plan to reduce dust and protect the rest of your home from the effects of the work? (Good contractors erect dust barriers and use drop cloths and other protective materials to protect your home).
- How is daily and general clean-up handled?
- Will the remodeling contractor provide a means for daily communication to address any questions or concerns you may have thought of after working hours?
- Will a professional designer and/or architect design your job? (For projects that warrant this level of service).
- Does the remodeling contractor provide realistic renderings, sketches and perspectives to allow you to clearly visualize your project early in the planning stages? (Again, for projects that warrant this level of service).
- Does the remodeling contractor have a kitchen and bath showroom to assist you with all your design needs and product selections?
