Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We find out what our Customers want or need, the kind of budget they are working with, and then we explain our process to each Customer based on what job they want to have done (they get a detailed "Welcome" email after our initial meeting outlining what to expect throughout the process as well).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have worked in the restoration and remodeling construction industry for over 25 years, and in the insurance industry for over 10 years. Giving us over 35 years in the insurance restoration business. Combined with over 25 years in guaranteeing our Customers' satisfaction.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Every project and Customer is different. So we always lay out and explain our pricing before the Customer is expected or required to sign or pay for anything. We don't like being surprised by hidden costs, and we believe our Customers don't either.
How did you get started in this business?
After working alongside one another in the construction and insurance industries, the partners of Texas Restoration realized what the biggest downfall on both sides of the fence was. That downfall was Customer Service. The Customer is the one that suffers in situations like homeowners insurance claims and/or repairs, remodels, and maintenance of their home(s). It is usually unknown territory for homeowners regarding both sides of this business, and when neither party is really interested in the Customers concerns, much less their satisfaction and comfortability with the whole process. Then it is the Customer and their home, and possibly their wallet that takes the biggest hit. So we started Texas Restoration - Residential & Commercial Services so that we can make sure that the Customer is satisfied and that we get their HOME back to HAPPY!
What types of customers have you worked with?
All kinds!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask lots of questions. Don't be afraid to ask for documentation and proof of anything and everything that they are telling you. It doesn't make you a bad person for asking, it only makes them a bad person if they fail to share the truth or just outright lie.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What kind of time frame they are will ing to accept. What kind of budget that they are on. What, if anything, are they willing to compromise on, change or add to the project as it commences.
