What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For Artisan Build Construct, project development is a collaborative process between the architect, general contractor, and customers to design and build the best response to the project goals. Unlike the single-source "design-build" model that tucks design functions behind builders' walls, our approach is to partner with independent architects in an open process that provides clients with two advocates rather than one.
This means the project gets three advocates – the architect, the builder, and the client – each independently empowered to champion a unique set of advocacies critical to project success.
We thoroughly assess all project inputs during Pre Construction Services — from site conditions to building envelopes, the mechanical systems to cladding, doors, and windows, to final selections and finishes. We generate careful specifications and facilitate all necessary finish trim selections with our trade suppliers and partners. With this complete knowledge, we will propose a Cost Plus-Fixed Fee Contract, construction schedule, and detailed construction documents.
We understand that completing a large-scale renovation or custom home can be, at times, stressful, confusing, and frustrating. Our process is designed to minimize surprises and maximize comfort. As a Fixed Fee Builder, we are incentivized to develop projects built on time and budget; our interests are wholly aligned with our Client's interests.
