Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet with the customer and listen to the issue that they are having, then diagnosing the problem and coming up with a solution. I usually try to give the customer three options in terms of solutions with different financial costs to fit their budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
4+ years of consistent plumbing experience with 3 years recorded full-time experience. I have not needed a reason to get my plumbing license until recently and plan to do so in July.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have a standard pricing system for my services and they are based off of larger corporate companys and marked down at least 30%. So the customer is essentially paying 30% less money for the same service and technician that they would be getting elsewhere.
How did you get started in this business?
I used to build stairs with my dad and I would see plumbers every now and again on different job sites and caught my interest. I signed up for an apprenticeship and have enjoyed the trade ever since.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly residential houses anywhere in Charleston from Summerville to Folly Beach to Mt. Pleasant. I have also done work with commercial businesses throughout the area as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Replacing a sewer system going to a septic tank at a Church out in Edisto. The church had an event taking place the upcoming Thursday and needed the issue fixed before then, and it felt good to be able to help them make their event a success!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Its not a bad idea to google average prices of the service thats being requested in your area, as to familiarize with normal prices and not be overpriced by a greedy technician.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Just about what the issue is and trying to be descriptive so that they may have a clearer idea of what exactly the problem.
