About

OVERTON’S GRADING, LLC

SOUTH CAROLINA’S PREMIER SITE

PREPARATION & LAND CLEARING CONTRACTOR

Excellence is Our Standard!

Overton’s Grading, LLC is locally owned and operated by Keith Overton, a United States Navy Veteran, along with his family. As a child, growing up a member of the Pringletown community in Ridgeville, SC my grandfather, Jerry Pringle, sparked my interest in land grading. Jerry Pringle was a 30-year employee of Westvaco who passed down the true value of hard work.

As an adult, I spent 26 years in the military where they instilled in me honesty, integrity, discipline, and attention to detail.

Through the lessons learned from my parents and grandparents, along with my military background I have been able to pass these values onto my own family.

Overton’s Grading was started because we are passionate about land management and taking particular care when preparing a site.

We pride ourselves on respecting your property and getting the job done right. Our team is dedicated to providing a quality product done with the utmost professionalism. We go above and beyond to ensure our customers are satisfied each time we conduct business.

How much does all this work cost? It depends on the nature of the land and exactly what you’re having done.

Land grading costs generally fall around a dollar or two per square foot. If you need to have trees removed on a wooded lot, you can expect to pay hundreds to thousands of dollars an acre, depending on how heavily wooded it is.

Many properties need to have at least some trees removed. The cost of removal also varies depending on the size and condition of the trees.

Clearing brush is a bit cheaper but can cost up to $200 per acre if the brush is thick.

Don’t forget that you’ll also be paying for the hourly labor to do all this work. About two or three acres of land can usually be cleared in a single eight-hour workday. Expect to spend about $100-$250 in labor for this work.

You might also be paying equipment fees to the land clearing services. These fees depend on the kind of equipment they’re using: heavy-duty things like excavators and backhoes can cost more than $100 per hour.
