Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with our unique online estimate system. Suburban makes it easy to get a quote for your roofing and windows. The homeowner simply goes to our website and clicks on the estimate link, fills out the form and receive a complete and detailed proposal including a diagram of your roofing with all the measurements to their email.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the roofing siding and window business for 33 years and have completed 1000s of projects. Suburban attends numerus training programs and seminars on roofing installations and the latest product innovation so we are always on the cutting edge of our industry.
How did you get started in this business?
I come from a long line of builders and carpenters and worked in the industry since I was a child. I started Suburban in 1986 at the age of 26 and specialized in vinyl siding, roofing and replacement windows.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of homeowners as well as multifamily and commercial roofs such as condo projects.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advice to a homeowner shopping for a new roof is hire a reputable company that has been around and has strong reviews online. Make sure they are properly licensed by the state and carry liability insurance. Review the contract carefully and make sure everything is spelled out so there aren’t any problems later, a clear payment schedule and estimated starting and competition date are also very important
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Be aware of the company that insist both spouses be present for the estimate, this is a sure sign that your will be info a long high-pressure pitch that will try to get you to sign that day. This is never a good way to do business and that's why Suburban gives you the price upfront.
