We loved working with Spacious Living for our 1000+ sq ft. addition. They did excellent work and were always very respectful and thoughtful to our wishes and ideas. The owner, John Thill, is a man with much integrity and very professional. He always put me at ease with his kind and friendly way. My husband and I highly recommend Spacious Living for any repair work, remodeling and additions.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Usually we recieve a phone intake or email intake from our website. We immediately call the potential client back & determine what type of project they have and a budget, if possible. Then we set up at time to visit the site. we take photos & complete all field dimensions necessary to provide a written proposal. We usually meet after the proposal is sent out to review the proposal in detail and answer any questions.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I completed two years of junior college taking all the construction classes offered. I've also been retained as an Industry Expert as a General Contractor since 1989. i've built many new homes & remodeled hundreds of homes over the past 38 years as a licensed contractor.

Describe a recent project you are fond of.

We completing a whole house remodel on a 1880 Victorian near downtown Santa Cruz. This home is very visible from most downtown locations. This project has involved many trades with extensive experience in Victorian Restoration work.

We're also just about complete with a 1930's Chapel Restoration in Scotts Valley. This project had extensive deferred maintenance resulting in extensive rot repairs. It's becoming the beautiful chapel it was almost ninety years ago with some new features & details.
