We been licensed since 1979 building new homes & remodeling homes. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship. Attention to detail on every project causes us to stand out among our competitors. Even the smallest detail is significant and often can affect many other items.
I enjoy the people I meet & get to work with. The people we work with are fun & excited about their projects. We've had the privelede of working on some exception projects over the years. Our goal is simply to make what you desire become a reality.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually we recieve a phone intake or email intake from our website. We immediately call the potential client back & determine what type of project they have and a budget, if possible. Then we set up at time to visit the site. we take photos & complete all field dimensions necessary to provide a written proposal. We usually meet after the proposal is sent out to review the proposal in detail and answer any questions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed two years of junior college taking all the construction classes offered. I've taken multiple construction industry relatred classes over the years to keep up on trends & changes in the workplace. I've been an Industry Expert with the Contractors License Board for over 16 years. I've also been retained as an Industry Expert as a General Contractor since 1989. i've built many new homes & remodeled hundreds of homes over the past 38 years as a licensed contractor.

Virtually every job differs significantly and needs to be priced out individually. No two jobs are ever the same & require specific labor & material components.
How did you get started in this business?
I started by working on a framing crew in 1970. I did framing for almost six years & then worked on a foundation crew for three years. In 1979 I became a licensed general contractor with the State of California. I incorporated in 1991.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We've been very fortunate to work with all types of customers.
Our sucess is partially due to great communication and cusotomer relations. We strive at being available should an issue arise that needs to be addressed quickly.
We meet frequently with our customers to make sure things are going as planned and on track with their expectations.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
We completing a whole house remodel on a 1880 Victorian near downtown Santa Cruz. This home is very visible from most downtown locations. This project has involved many trades with extensive experience in Victorian Restoration work.
We're also just about complete with a 1930's Chapel Restoration in Scotts Valley. This project had extensive deferred maintenance resulting in extensive rot repairs. It's becoming the beautiful chapel it was almost ninety years ago with some new features & details.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Share your desires & dream list with your contractor. Review it in detail & express what's really important to you & your family.
Then listen to his responses & see if it's consistent with your desires & intent. You're going to be contractually married to this company for some time so you want to make sure the match is good.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Establish a clear line of objectives that you want to accomplish. Have these items clearly deliniated in writing & on plans if possible.
Get a preliminary estimate if the plans are not yet completed to make sure what you want to have completed can be completed for the budget you have set aside.
