Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with the folks first to talk about the remodel or build and then price it based on the information gathered for what we are trying to accomplish.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the building industry for 20 years and have had my General Contractors License for 8 years. I have built over 300 homes and remodeled over 25 homes.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have standard pricing for our new construction but not for remodels. We would need to look at our remodels before pricing them since all of them are different.
How did you get started in this business?
I started with an HVAC and plumbing company right out of high school while studying for my degree in college. I also worked with a concrete company part time through college and once I was out of college, I started working for Vulcan Materials Company. I worked there for two years and left to start building houses for a home builder. I have been doing it ever since.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All kinds. I have worked with as little as a $5,000 remodel job to a $15 million dollar apartment complex. I specialize in New Construction and have built anything from a $100,000 house to an $850,000 house.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
New Construction Home in Spicewood Trails. I was just told today by our landscaper that it was the nicest house he has ever seen us build.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure that you hire someone that you can depend on and trust. I have found in this business that Trust is something that is hard to come by and that is the key to our success.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Know what you want before you start the process. You don't want to start something if you don't know exactly or at least have a good idea of what you want.
