Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We dont just show up and tell the customer what a new roof costs. We do a thorough examination of the existing roofing so we (and the customer) know what is required for the new roof. This greatly reduces 'surprises'. We like to meet face to face so we can explain and answer roofing questions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are GAF certified and have been in roofing for 15 yrs
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
No particular pricing standard. Every roof has its own requirements to be done properly. We explain what we have to do and why to the customer.
How did you get started in this business?
Started in general contracting and did well with it but my friend, Ron McPhail, built a sizeable roofing company and needed help to run it. It was time to hang up the tool pouch and let the younger guys handle the tough work.
What types of customers have you worked with?
ALL KINDS! We are very versatile and can go out of our way to meet the customers needs. The end result is a great roof at a very good price that a customer will be proud of and so will we!
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
We recently did a roof at the beach. We found out the customers were planning on installing shudders. We sent him to our supplier, he purchased them (at our cost), we had them delivered and installed them for free while we roofed that day. Needless to say that brought us a lot of referals.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Get 2 or 3 quotes. We look forward to the competition. If there is a price lower than our, find out why. Its likely they could be using inferior products.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Look at other roofing jobs we've done locally. Ask about warranty
