After an introduction conversation (usually by phone) with a potential client... a site visit is scheduled, and a proposal is done based on the site visit and the clients preferences.
How did you get started in this business?
As a teenager, I started working in gardens in my neighborhood... Charleston, SC... which continues to be inspiration for me!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The uniqueness of my garden work was recently noticed by a book publisher working for Rizzoli Books in NYC, while he was visiting Boston (Beacon Hill). I was contacted and asked if I would be interested in contributing to a new book about gardening. The book... "Garden Design Master Class" is scheduled to be published in March 2020. An essay and photos of my work will be featured in a chapter named "Container Gardens".
