Passionately working to create beautiful gardens and container gardens!
Dear François – Thank you so much for your continued work on our garden. You are a joy to work with, professional, knowledgeable and creative. You really listen to what our priorities are for each project and create a plan for us. Your suggestions went way beyond what we had envisioned to completely transform both the front and back gardens and tremendously improve the curb appeal of our home. When we made a change to the plan, you were super flexible and professional and made the process of working with an additional contractor totally seamless. Evan and I are thrilled with the results so far and looking forward to future projects with you. Thank you so much!
François and I have been associated for more than 7 years and he has provided me with design services both interior and exterior. François is a degreed design professional and carries a wealth of experience beyond his academic training at Winthrop University. He is conversant with many trades, is one of the most savvy craftsman I know and is an exemplar of the "design/build' tradition. This extends from the home into the garden. I previously worked at the Arnold Arboretum and came to own the former residence of the great plant explorer E.H. Wilson. Forreste has painstakingly restored the gardens of the Wilson House, bringing them back to their former glory. He has a keen eye, a sophisticated palette of plants and the horticultural knowledge to put any plan into reality. As a garden design professional, François is more than a "gardener”, he is really an artist with a shovel. I would highly recommend his garden design services, both from a design and installation standpoint.
After an introduction conversation (usually by phone) with a potential client... a site visit is scheduled, and a proposal is done based on the site visit and the clients preferences.
As a teenager, I started working in gardens in my neighborhood... Charleston, SC... which continues to be inspiration for me!
The uniqueness of my garden work was recently noticed by a book publisher working for Rizzoli Books in NYC, while he was visiting Boston (Beacon Hill). I was contacted and asked if I would be interested in contributing to a new book about gardening. The book... "Garden Design Master Class" is scheduled to be published in March 2020. An essay and photos of my work will be featured in a chapter named "Container Gardens".
