Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing we do is have a conversation about the project. We want to know what your specific requests are for the project and to know what your perfect painting experience would look like.
Then, based on the information you give us on the phone or in email, we give you a rough idea of what typical projects like yours would cost.
From there we set up a time to confirm pricing by taking measurements in the home. We'll also have our color decks with us so we can look at colors too.
The same day that we take measurements we'll also look at the final price. If you like what you see, we'll find the next available slot on our schedule and book the job!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Out Color Consultants are all graduates from art and design school. They have a strong background in the practice of color theory and they are passionate about helping people with color.
Each of our painters passes through our professional certification course that focuses on Craftsmanship and leadership. Each painter is striving for the next level of mastery in their craft. Many of our painters have backgrounds in art or traditional painting craftsmanship.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing system is based on calculated and measured production rates. This means that we track how long specific phases of a typical painting project take according to the size and scope and we produce an price that a project should cost given the measurements and conditions. Those production rates are computerized and so when we take measurements our final pricing is unbiased and accurate.
