Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Northeast Georgia comes to your home or business for a consultation and provides an estimate free of charge. Secondly we discuss the customer's options and negotiate if necessary. Once that is complete we sign a contract outlining the cost and work to be performed and we get started transforming the space you're tired of into the space you've always wanted!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied at Everglades University in their B.S. construction management program. More importantly, I have in excess of 25 years in the business and have worked on luxurious ocean front estate homes, regular houses like most of us live in, commercial projects and even some civil projects that included large amounts of infrastructure refurbishment.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing is pretty straight forward. Our itemized estimates show how all the project costs are allocated and are easily modified to scale up or down as necessary.
How did you get started in this business?
My father was a general contractor when I was growing up. I worked summers for him as a laborer and gradually worked my way up the ladder. I became a carpenter and then specialized in trim work prior to getting into a management position. I then opened a GC business with a partner in Florida. Once I became tired of the hectic pace of the Florida construction industry, we decided a move to a more wholesome area that would better suit our family. Here we are today, residents of Barrow County, Georgia with a new business in a place that the whole family loves!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a pretty impressive list of clients. I got my start in Jupiter, FL and worked on a couple jobs for Burt Reynolds in my early days. I have worked with Fortune 500 CEOs and I have worked for the people down the street and small business owners. I'm comfortable With all types of clientele because at an early age I learned the importance of providing a quality product and shooting straight with your customers. Integrity has carried me a long way in this industry. I intend to maintain my good reputation and continue to expand it for the foreseeable future.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Customers should attempt to gain an understanding of what it costs (on average) to complete the projects they are interested in. This will help to keep the customer from having sticker shock and ensure they have the finances to complete the project.
