Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule a time to inspect the roof, explain findings, and options to make repairs or replacement.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 25 years experience. I am a student of the business/trade. I strictly follow all SC building codes and manufactures install specs. I have a solid record of getting the job done to the highest standard. I have personally trained everyone of my installers and follow up daily on my expectations of each installer. It's one thing to say you do quality work but it's another to deliver on it. Most have good intentions, few have the leadership to make those intentions into reality. I will always give my customer the quality job they expect and deserve.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Each and every job is different so cost may vary. We do a simple takeoff of roof allowing for material and time to complete project. Once each aspect of your job is determined we give you a quote that meets those requirements to do your project.
How did you get started teaching?
I train each installer to SC building code and manufacture specs. Although most of my installers have had prior experience each and everyone of the did it they way the were taught working with other companies. I have learned that the vast majority of companies do not follow SC building codes or manufactures specs. They use a method of their own that doesn't have any consistency.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with homeowners and contractors as well as insurance companies.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Well I do my own work. Most contractors are paper contractors they do not actually do their own work. They simply sell the job and hire a real roofing contractor to provide the service that you're seeking. They boast of their high quality and workmanship in hopes that the contractor that they rent actually follows through on their promises. At All About Roofing you are working directly with the owner that is hands on with each project. My commitment to every customer is backed with more than words.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would recommend that you hire a contractor that only hand drives. Avoid contractors that use nail guns at all cost. Believe me when I say they don't use the nail gun to benefit the customer.
