What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The owner, Michael Powell, retains a General Contractor license as well as Roofing license. American Roofing & Construction retains licenses for different jurisdictions throughout the Colorado Front Range. Ongoing education is always important at American Roofing & Construction.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
For accurate pricing and to get a fair estimate to our clients, we need to physically see their roof for measurements and counts. The type of roofing material being installed plays a factor on pricing as well.
How did you get started in this business?
The owner has been working in the construction industry since he was a kid working with his father. His passion is construction.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Please make sure that you are working with someone who is licensed and insured. Colorado does not require a certain roofing license. Those are applied for by jurisdiction. A good roofer will have taken the ICC Roofing test and have the credentials regardless of the laws in Colorado. Be cautious about giving money to roofers as well if they have not yet even delivered materials. Check for references including their rating with the BBB. Also, make sure that all inspections have been performed and passed according to your jurisdiction.
