What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule an appointment for no charge to get an overview of the project. If there is a design needed then we present a design proposal. If accepted then payment is due upon acceptance. Once the design process is complete we provide an estimate for the work ( there is no charge for estimates) If work is accepted then we schedule the project on a first come first serve basis. We require a 40% deposit upon signing a contract. Spring is especially busy for us so please schedule spring work in the prior fall or winter. Once on the job, we stay at your property until the project is completed to your satisfaction. We do a final walk through with the designer after which a remaining billing is prepared. If there are changes to the work, we provide a change order.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have three registered landscape architects on staff, and one landscape designer, two horticulturalists, and our field staff have a variety of certifications from short term training. We have 3 certified chemical applicators and several specialists in pond and water feature gardens. We have a stable well trained work force that are well compensated and have been with the company for many years.

We have a standard pricing system that is internet based and purchased from an international company specializing in landscape and maintenance companies.
How did you get started in this business?
The business is 32 years old. We started as a small garden maintenance company with a few clients and the business grew from there.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with residential, commercial and government clients.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
We donated the landscape design, materials and labor to build a small urban park in a highly visible area in Madison. We believe in the importance of building community and we have an annual giving policy based on profits.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Please don't be put off by the age and size of our company. We work with a complete range of clients who have budgets of around $1000 to $250,000
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
If you have a larger project, please be prepared for the time it will take to design, estimate and schedule your project. We have clients who have paid their deposits and are scheduled so we are not able to displace people on our schedule for late comers. We guarantee that when your time comes to do the work at your place that you will have our full attention and we will be very receptive to your needs as a client. We have a long list of very happy customers.
