Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to spend about 15 minutes speaking with the potential client at their home or office or retail establishment or site and ask that they give us a rundown of what clean means to them. What rooms, what part of the rooms, what smells they like to come home to etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an obsessive cleaner for several years. I just sincerely love a clean environment and want it for everyone I meet. We really do take such pride in the sparkle we leave behind.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have pricing sheets which I will attempt to post or they will be on our website. We are very transparent and affordable. Our clients can count on that.
How did you get started in this business?
My love of cleaning and the fact that my home, my family and my friends' houses were all clean and I felt so bereft. I knew then I needed to take it further.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types, truly. I have cleaned for political figures and I have cleaned for single moms for whom I would donate my time and teach ways to make cleaning enjoyable and how to get kids involved without an argument.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The one above. I had one particular, very frazzled mom at her wits end and working 2 jobs with 3 kids 8-12. It took a couple visits but I was able to show them my own love of having a clean environment and how simple a task it can be if you do a little everyday. Add in some great music and air guitar and rewards and its a party.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Connection. Connect with the person who will be cleaning your home or office. If you don't click you won't communicate and awkwardness is the devil. Find shared interests and build a repor. If the cleaner is aloof or standoffish or fixed on the cost then move along. Connection, definitely.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What clean means to them. We all have a different idea of what constitutes clean...it might be the smell of pine, or lemon, or fresh sheets, or countertops that glisten or the pillows especially fluffed...tell them what is important to you and if they don't pay particular attention every time, then find someone who will.
