About
RTI is a small hands on company. When you receive an estimate from RTI, I'm there. When RTI starts your project, I'm there. When your project is in progress thru completion , I'm there. I'm Karl, I own RTI and I take pride in what I do. Every step of the way.
I like the idea of taking something or a space that is older, broken or even nonexistent and creating something fresh, functional and new that people can be proud of and use for many years to come. I strive to give my clients the information they need, in terms they will understand, so they are able to make informed choices about what they want in their home.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to find my customers specific needs. A "remodel" means something different from person to person. Most customers have an idea or concept to start with. Getting that idea to transfer from a scrap peice of notebook paper into a beautiful new Kitchen or Bathroomis what I really enjoy..We start with step #1... Planning ..we finalize what is coming out what is staying and what is going to go where. #2 Estimating... I try to give my customers as accurate an estimate as I can. Listing everything we have discussed to date. #3 Ordering and Scheduling...Materials for your project are ordered by us and delivered to your home. Once orders are scheduled for delivery we will schedule your installation. The scope of work generally dictates time necessary to complete your project. Please note that suggested time frames are for the originaal scope of work. Any additions to the oringinal scope will also add additional time to complete your project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been certified by Mannington , Tarkett, Wilsonart, Armstrong, and Pergo. I have taken MasterClasses with Spartacote, Stonecoat, Hydroblock and Master builders Association.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We have standardized pricing for many of the services we offer. Although I generally like to give people an estimate after seeing the project. This way we can discuss your ideas, get accurate measurements, and spot any potential issues beforehand. This way there are no surprises. Generally speaking unless it's a birthday ... No one likes them...
How did you get started in this business?
That's a long story...but I grew up on a ranch, where we did a lot of the things ourselves. So I grew up using tools.. and I was good at it... Lol.. and I liked it. Which is the most important thing .
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask questions. Then also realize that no one know everything about everything. Are they willing to find out? I am. There is always something new to learn.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How much (many)? That is the best question you can ask. Except, one word is missing,,, the third word.... the ones we forget..everyone thinks it money, right? Here are a few more to think about.... People on the project, time to completion, disruption of your routine, stages of construction, lost space ...storage for materials, debris, tools , ect.....Oders or allergies, some products have strong chemical smells...Safety is also a concern. Are there children around or is the area being worked on still needed a a functional space( kitchen or ony one bathroom) sometimes you can others you can't. Ask questions.
Know what you are looking at. A thing to consider is the style or look you want. Through this you can adjust colors, design, lighting, and materials. You can then add or subtract according to what your budget might be.
