About
Services available evenings and weekends. I prefer working with small businesses - 10 or less computers, 1 server. I believe in keeping things as simple to support as possible, which generally equates to significant savings for my clients. Because of my experience and upbringing, I have learned to bring Enterprise level capabilities and an ability to find affordable solutions to my clients. My specialty is backup and recovery.
I started in 1983 with a Commodore 64, and I have been hooked ever since. Few people have jobs they enjoy going to work to. I consult evenings and weekends because I enjoy helping people.

How did you get started in this business?
I had arthritis as a child in my legs, and electronics became my friend and comfort. Around 1984 I bought my first computer - a Commodore 64. My parents got a loan for my Tandy 1000a, Then I studied Business and Computers at Shepherd College (now Shepherd University). During an internship, I determined I enjoyed working with hardware more than programming for someone else. I still enjoy programming for myself, just not others. LOL!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I primarily work with small business clients, and growth has been via word of mouth. Small as in under 10 computers and one server - typically. I have supported clients with multiple sites, racks of servers, and about 100 desktops. I prefer the smaller businesses because I like to get to know people and help them find affordable solutions.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Be patient. As they say, you can have it fast, you can have it cheap, you can have it right - pick two and only two.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Have a budget in mind. Know that it is up to you to put a value on your files - pictures, memories, business data.
