Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once a customer wants to obtain my services, I 1) begin to process them on paper (onboarding), documenting everything we speak of that they're looking to get accomplished.
2) communicate with them (set a date and time) on how soon I can come to give a proper quote.
3) leave them the paperwork (services and price quote), application, etc.
4) give them my direct number and email, create a service and welcome package and discuss which service they'll chose, inquire if they want me to supply the cleaning supplies or if they will be. How best to communicate from there on, what payment types will we use to get me paid, etc.
5) set up a date to begin and go above and beyond to create a good business relationship between customer and cleaner.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had over 12 years of cleaning experience. I have done make ready; move-out; move-in cleanings; 3 bdrm-2.5 bth 2300 sqft homes. I was also in charge of cleaning the custodial services of the New Jersey Bergen Performing Arts Center (Bergen PAC).
How did you get started in this business?
I was responsible for cleaning as a child, being the only girl in the house. Then as I got older, and got into it more, I realized that there's so much more to just cleaning my home. There's the green/eco side of cleaning, helping out the aged population that's still active but cant 1) do it themselves, 2) can't tolerate the harsh chemicals.
Then I realized that my own father was one of those people. So, I began by doing some cleaning for a 2 elderly clients who used breathing apparatus and could not have any harsh chemicals around them. Then from there, I began getting calls asking for my services, causing me to expand my niche to be inclusive of all home owners no matter their needs.
When that service slowed, I was contacted by a realtor who was seeking make ready services. And when ever she had move-in/move-out services, I was how she called, because I did such good work, and my prices were competitive.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Business, Commercial, residential, offices.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of the Thanksgiving to Christmas and New Year's holiday events. That's when my services are gravely needed and I come out and "shine bright like a diamond."
