Champion Foundation Solutions
About
Hello, my name is Robert Daniels. I am the Owner/General Manager of Champion Foundation Solutions. I entered the foundation repair industry almost 8 years ago. I started as a salesman in San Angelo, but then I was promoted very quickly to General Manager over the company's office in Lubbock. My team and I had great success in my years in Lubbock. I trained my team 3 core values, the same I've carried with me my entire adult life and still today. Those are to always be honest, have a strong commitment to hard work, and always aim for excellence in everything we do. After stepping down from my General Manager position, I launched Champion Foundation Solutions in June 2018. Carrying those same 3 core values, along with putting our customers best interests first always, Champion Foundation Solutions is sitting on a foundation that will stand the test of time. Nobody will ever come close to beating our prices. If that isn't enough, we offer a very wide variety of discounts and we even have financing options available. So why not Discover The Difference with Champion Foundation Solutions.
Besides my daughter, there is nothing more rewarding to me than the look on a home owner's face when I tell them their home's foundation has been successfully repaired. I feel that, when given the opportunity, fixing a families home (their greatest investment) is pretty special and I feel just as lucky with my most recent client as I did with my very first.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we get to the house, going off what the client has shared with us on the intake questionnaire, we usually have an idea of what the issues are and possible solutions for those issue. However, we like to get another explanation from our clients in person. We also like for our clients to come along as we view the damage or issues so we can give them an explanation as to what has caused them. After the client has showed us what they were seeing, we will continue on and do a complete visual inspection of the foundation which includes full elevation measurement of the home (this will show where the drops and heaves are located). When the inspection is finished, we like to sit at the table with the homeowner and explain any other findings, the causes of all their issues, explain in detail steps that can be made to reverse the issues, and when a repair plan is needed we will draw up a repair plan diagram and give an in depth explanation what the repairs will consist of. After all questions are answered, a price for the repairs is given. If given the go ahead on the project, signatures will be gathered on the contract and they will be put on our schedule (repairs usually start within a week of the assessment).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent every summer, since the age of 12, working on a construction crew for my uncle. I learned how to build a house during those years. Having that knowledge gave me an advantage when I stayed in the foundation repair industry. Spending 3 years as a salesman/technician I gained a great deal of knowledge on foundation maintenance and repair. I also had the benefit to learning along side of one of the foundation repair pioneers in Texas. 30 plus years in the industry, Mark made sure I knew what I was lacking. I learned a great deal from Mark. He continued to guide me when I got to Lubbock. Having Mark is just as good or maybe even better than any schooling I could've taken. He taught me everything he had to offer. During my years, I was voted top foundation repair technician in Texas for 3 consecutive years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing system varies from job to job. Of course the obvious is the price will be higher when there's more repairs needed. A lot of factors come into play while pricing a job. Our technicians are happy to explain everything that went into getting at the price that is shown to you.
How did you get started in this business?
After working 15 years in the oilfield, I was laid off during the oil bust. Tired of the constant ups and downs the oilfield brought through the years, I decided to try to enter a more stable industry. Since I had construction experience and knowledge, I knew that was the industry I wanted to enter. I answered an add in the thrifty nickle that said outside salesperson needed for a foundation repair company. I drove to Abilene, interviewed, and got the job. Once I got the full experience of being in this industry, I fell in love with it and will never do anything but this.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Everyday homeowners, real estate agents, industrial property managers, industrial property developers, churches, city offices, schools/colleges (I did a huge project for Texas Tech. I got to meet Coach Kingsbury and Patrick Mahone). I've repaired foundations on any type of structure you could possibly think of.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We just completed a complete understructure replacement for a client. The home is sitting on a pier and beam foundation, when I first walked the floors, I was feeling slopes that ended up measuring 8". When dealing with a foundation, 8" is a number that in most cases will never be able to get back to original position. Major major slopes covered the entirety of the home. After explaining to the client that her floors were not going to be perfectly level when we were done and the reasoning behind this (when structures this old, it was a very old home, have major slopes throughout the floors, the wood is almost always warped in that position. So our goal at that point is to get these areas back to original position as the structure will allow us without damaging the structures integrity and stabilize the areas there. To achieve level floors, a general contractor will need to be called in to replace the subfloor after the stabilization is complete) we got to work. During the lifting process that I was present for and I charge of, I was very shocked when we were able to get every bit of the 8" needed to get it to normal, but even more shocked when we were able to get the structure lifted 12" to get the entire home level. When the job was complete, as I was sharing the good news to the new homeowner and the precious owner who grew up in the home, they all had looks of happiness and relief. They were very pleased, but not letting them in on my feelings, I've never been more proud of a job well done by my team and I as I was on this project. This one will be talked about for years to come.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Always make sure they offer warranties on all their services. You want them to offer a lifetime warranty on their Piers. Make sure the warranty is Transferable. The number one thing to ask for is references. They should have no less than 10.
