What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule a personal appointment for one of our owner (Sandra Burnett or Danny Krienke) to meet our prospective clients in their home. Of course, this a complimentary service. At that time, we talk to the client about what they are looking to have done - if they have shared details during the initial call to set up the appointment l, we try to bring samples that might be of interest. Measurements of the space are taken and a proposal for the work is emailed to the client within 2 business days or less. If the proposal is accepted, a contract is signed by both parties and a deposit for work is required. Then, the job is scheduled according to the client’s and our availability (usually within a couple of weeks - depending on the availability of the product chosen). Updates are provided to client throughout the process. Once work is finished, a final invoice is provided to client along with maintenance and care instructions on how to keep their new floors beautiful.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There is regular continuing education on the flooring craft and products provided by our vendors and by the National Hardwood Flooring Association - we take advantage of this on a regular basis.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Because there is such a variety of product, and types of installation there is no standard pricing by the job. We are fair and competing in our pricing. And in line with others of the same caliber in our industry.
How did you get started in this business?
Danny Krienke grew up in the flooring business, learning the craft from his father.
After many years of business administration in oil & gas and medicine, Sandra Burnett chose to move her talents to her passion - interior design. And what is the focal point of any home or business? The floors! She has always ensured the floors in her own home were wonderful hardwoods - so she knew.she and Danny would be a great Team - and she was right!
Since their first job doing the floors at the Junior League of Houston in 1992, they have been creating fabulous floors all over Houston and the surrounding area. They have built a fantastic Team of expert craftsment, many who have been with them since the early years. Danny's brother, David, has also grown up in the flooring industry and heads up the operations. Sandra's daughter, Tracy, has a strong business and marketing background and has recently stepped up as the General Manager of the company.
