Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Well my typical process with a new customer after we agreed with the quote which is $105 for repair is to drive to a customer place and meet her or him with a good smile and promise that the job will get done to his or her satifaction and be there on time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Well, I studied small engine in the Air Force and I intended Penn Foster college small engine repair.
Besides my education. I have been working for the number one retail company in the world as a tool technician for about 12 years now..........my pricing have been changed I do not charge $75 for repair any more, the repair is $105
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Well I will have to say yes I do. everybody pays $75 for repair for the simple fact that I have to get on the high way to come to you and you only pay that $75 if I fix your unit to your satifaction.
How did you get started in this business?
Since I like the challenge of repairing broken machines and I'm already doing it as my first job, I say to myself why not start going to people home and doing this.
What types of customers have you worked with?
So far GREAT. Everyone I met great people.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Well let see. I met a lady who had no idea or know anything about the push mower, after my repair and her push mower was runing, she was all happy and for some reason I decided to show her or to give her a quick course to how the push mower works. I believe that customer will never call anyone else for any repair of her mower again and she was very happy, that's all I'm about. You may pay a little more but that could be the last time you will call someone to repair your mower.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I will want all the customer to hire me because it could be the last time you will call a repair man to fix your mower. only if the customer does not mind to learn a little bit....."save you money"
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How must it cost for you to do this repair, even if you don't fix it do I still have to pay? my answer will be no if I don't fix it or I can't fix it you don't have to pay me.
