What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At PC ASAP, we have a deliberate diagnostic process in determing the cause of a customers device issues.
Once the problems are identified, we contact the customer [In-Store Service] to discuss our findings and provide an estimate of the cost to resolve their issue(s). If the service is onsite, we discuss in person our findings.
If customer authorizes us to proceed, we will complete the task and walk the customer through exactly what work was completed and answer any questions they have before settling their invoice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our Technicians are A+ Certified.
They are experienced Windows/Mac PC/Laptop, Cell Phone and Tablet repairs.
We also have Techs that are experineced in Network Installation and Maintenance, along with Cable Installation.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
In Store Labor Cost: $90 per hour.
Onsite Labor Cost: $140 per hour [1 hour Minimum].
We have business monthly service plans that are customized to fit the needs of each business.
How did you get started in this business?
I have a background in Database Programming [Oracle, MS SQL Server, Access, My SQL, Azure...].
My desire has been to own a Technology company, that I can provide PC/Laptop, Network and Cable Installation for businesses and consumers. We have added Cell Phone and Tablet repair to our service line.
Our goal is to truly be a one-stop shop for businesses and consumers for servicing their electronic devices.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Consumers, Architechs, Insurance Agencies, Real Estate Agencies, Manufactures, Sororities, Accountants, Lawyers and Non-Profit Organizations.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We were contacted by a local restaurant in which their server had failed on a Friday and they were manually writing tickets over that weekend.
They called us on that Monday requesting immediate service. We were at their location before noon, diagnosed their problem and had them order a Power Supply from their POS vendor in which we will install it once they receive the item.
The owner was quite pleased with our promptness and abilty to resolve their issue on short notice.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The customer should review the companys website along with reading their reviews.
They should also speak with the company and get a feel for their customer service.
Their choice of repair companies should not just be based on price, but the level of expertise that is articulated to them while speaking with the repair company.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Be able to articulate as best they can the issues they have
Know the make and model of the PC/Laptop that need servicing.
Be able to explain when the issue(s) began occuring.
