Mike Mac Landscaping
About
I have 30 years experience in evaluation, design, build and maintenance in the Houston area. I am a State of Texas licensed irrigator. My personal touch at each phase of any project and my constant vigilance on any on-going maintenance and my 24/7 availability for communication makes our company stand out!
My background in park maintenance (15 years in The Woodlands, City of Sugarland, City of Bellaire, City of Houston) has given me a unique advantage on how to design, maintain and get high use recreational areas (like your yard!) to actually look BETTER year after year, instead of wearing down over time.
I have spent a career learning about what does and does not work in our environment. I enjoy being able to make my clients happy while educating everyone to the benefits and cost savings of GOING GREEN!!

Describe a recent project you are fond of.
I met a family who had a small back yard who called to replace their sod. I met with them and showed them the reasons WHY this was going to keep happening. We removed 9 trees (they still have plenty) install a french drain system, regraded to vastly improve their drainage. It was a bit over their budget so they opted to not get the french drain. I told them I wouldnt feel right without, so.... we gave it to them.
Afterward they had us replace their entire fence and gates AND retained us to perform their weekly maintenance. They had us replace their current chemical contractor (who hadn't been giving them any results - just invoices).
I was inspecting our work a few weeks after completion. The lady of the house came out to tell me how happy they were and how much the work had added to their enjoyment of their home!

Experience and common sense!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Does what they propose make sense, solve their problem and did they address the WHY they have the problem in the first place.
