Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I make an appointment, come to their house and ask them their vision of their yard/ project. We go though the project both bouncing ideas off each other. I then create a master plan on a Cad program and a bid if they request it. I send both to them and we meet again on site, I go through the layout and bid. If they want changes, I then make changes to the plan. Again we meet and finalize the job.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Horticulture, I am also a master gardener.
I specialize in drading, drainage, structures working with rock, boulders and existing topo. I specialize in native plants, water features, patios, walkways ....just about anything you can dream of!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I charge 65.00 an hour for the CAD plan. I charge 42.00 per man hour for services.
I detail all my bids to reflect the price for specialty items
How did you get started in this business?
I always worked on all the landscape we had in our homes through the years when I was a child to me teen years, I am a military brat so we traveled. I always maintained the yard starting at 11 years old. We recieved grounds of the week for 3 years running when we lived on base. I worked for a nursery in college and became hungry for knowledge about plants and tree or anything that had to do with landscaping. I studied and asked questions on sites. I taugh myself to drive a loader, excavator, back hoe, chipper, use a transit, just about anything that you would use on a landscape site.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Every kind you can think of, both commercial, ranches, cities, homeowner associations and home owners
