I am a general contractor with over a decade of experience working for Frans Dahmen, a legendary local builder who sadly passed away recently, and also with many of my own projects large (renovating whole homes) and small (door and window repairs, porches, etc). I’ve done everything from simple repairs to tear down renovations of whole historic homes, to replacement trellises, gates, and outdoor features for Hotel San Jose, to entirely new build ADU’s and homes. I’ve also rebuilt historic windows and doors and hand built replica wood windows and doors when they’re too far gone for repair. I’ve also done stone and brick masonry work, both simple repointing and replacement. I prefer working on older buildings because I understand and appreciate the old styles and techniques, and will not make the mistakes many sadly do when repairing old buildings. That said, if a modern design is sensible (a big if), I’m happy to work on new builds as well. Landscaping projects are also welcome.
