What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Come out introduce my self give them some background info. Find out what they need done work up a detail complete an estimate and schedule the job.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a 4th generation trim carpenter with 20+ years in the Insurance Restoration business. I've worked on just about everything from 1800's Victorian style homes to new custom Million $ homes.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
All quotes are free I work up itemized estimates for Labor and materials. Sometimes the home owner prefers to perchase the materials there selves. I price all the materials + 10% this covers my overthead getting them to the job plus if I get the materials I make sure there as they should be to ensure no wasted time and trips back to the hardware store!
How did you get started in this business?
I grew up in this business my father had me doing demo on fire and water claims as early as 9 yuears old. I was experianced enough by 15 to run a crew triming homes out. By 20 I was out on my own doing just about anything. I've worked as a sub contractor for various companys all over the state. I recently finally decided to build my own brand and go after the work myself instead of getting the leads from another contractor making them a percentage off the top which makes you have to quote the job much higher.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Thats a hard one the most exciting thing in my life right now is raising my son he's 5 just started T-ball and I love coaching him and just being a good father and provider!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't pay them until the job is completed and your completely satisfied with the work. Ask question make your they there very knowledgable about the work your requesting!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
No what your looking to spend and try to get some idea what your wanting do before the pro shows up it will make the whole process go much smoother. If you know what you want and what your looking to spend the pro will be able to discuss the what options suit you best!
