We respond to a perspective client request either from an email request, text, phone call, or recommendation. Thereafter, we will meet with and talk to that home/business owner about their needs/desires, what they expect of us, and then set up a day to conduct the free estimate. Upon completion of that estimate, I will generate a written estimate for their viewing and forward it to the email account provided. I let it be known during the initial meeting, that we never do verbal estimates; it is always in written format. That way, the perspective customer can see the services and the prices prior to selecting us as their Lawn Care Provider and it prevents any mis-communications between both parties.
My staff and I have 20-plus years of experience combined and have worked for other landscaping and lawn care companies prior to starting my own business/company. I am also a Retired Veteran of the US Navy and have a Bachelor and Master degree in Organizational Management.
My pricing is determine by a visual inspection and the property square footage, Here's the list as followed:
Mowing and Edging (Depends on yard square footage)
Flower Bed Maintenance = $65.00 per bed
Tree Pruning (Depends on tree size) = $65.00 and up
Gutters (Depends on home/business size and height) = $125.00 and up
Shrubbery Trimming (Depends on the quantity and size)
Landscaping = Depends on the design, plants, shrubberies, and/or trees customer want planted)

To always ensure they are licensed and insured and that they do not have any outstanding complaints against their company. Always check the BBB of that company's status and then ask whether or not they provide any type of discounts.
They should always think about the tasks and types of services they want accomplished by that company before consulting with them, whether or not it would be cost effective to spread out the jobs they want or combine them altogether, and always have a bottom line price they are willing to spend. Our industry is very competitive; therefore, some companies are willing to negotiate their price. Remember, cheaper is not always the best route to go; you will get what you pay for!!!
