Our History In 2010, entrepreneur Jennifer Frederick opened the doors to One Mom and a Mop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania after leaving her career in Education to raise her son as single mom. Her vision was to provide an affordable and reliable solution in superior house cleaning for busy homeowners and professionals. As her son grew and graduated, so did her business. Residents of this competitive industrial town were drawn to her new home cleaning service, valuing the work-life balance Jennifer and her staff is able to provide. As a result, One Mom and a Mop quickly expanded into both home and commercial cleaning - Prime Maids Cleaning was born. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we at Prime Maids Cleaning meet with a new client, we spend a few minutes to go over any concerns and problem areas within their home. Additionally, we explain what they can expect during and after the service is complete; including details of the cleaning process and care afterwards . Next, we write and present a quote to the client and upon approval we set up a cleaning schedule that works best for both the client and cleaning technicians. Lastly, we begin the cleaning process on the agreed time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My cleaning education for Prime Maids Cleaning began with my mother who proudly kept a spotless home. She instilled onto me the same pride in high standard, quality cleaning within my own home of which I have successfuly transferred these values into my cleaning business for the benefit of each client.
