Thorne's Environmental Design
About
With over 30 years of hands on experience, collegiate training and greenhouse and laboratory work and working and learning at a few national recognized gardens, I learned my profession. I understand why things work and don't work. The keys to success, the soil structure and nutrition along with a professional knowledge of control insects and disease from a scientific and holistic and organic training. We love plants! 😁
Everyday we get a chance to make the world a little more beautiful! We operate on an organic platform that lets us incorporate small details that help the birds and the bees. There's nothing more satisfying and soul soothing in this life for me then a beautiful garden border in full bloom. The small splashes and gurgling of the waterfall as the butterflies stop by for a cool drink and a rest from the summer's sun. Looking back on a stone wall you've built to stand a hundred years is pretty rewarding also.

Work study in college.
What types of customers have you worked with?
From the top to the bottom! I prefer to work with middle class, honest and hardworking folks who value their money and understand how valuable having someone that says... " now you have a friend in the business! ". And really means it, is.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
I enjoy solving problems and healing sick plants. I gave up on the dream of being a billionaire a couple years ago, realized I was a gardener because I love it and have not looked back!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't be afraid to pay me for a consultation. I'll save you money and explain what you want to be conscious of.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What's our real world operating budget. And be aware that things almost always happen ... so always slow down and back up and leave a little padding to cover any hidden issues. Your project will come in under budget and everyone will be happy in the end.
