i have been in business since 1979 . i build custom homes and additions .i also do complete remodels , bathroom and kitchen, decks ,window replacement , and i have a custom cabinet shop ,for cabinetry and furniture pieces . i am licensed and insured in pennsylvania and new jersey . i back all my work with a (2) year warranty , and make sure the customer is always 100% satisfied with all work my company has provided . i work with my customers to get them the proper material choices and listen to what they expect the end project they wanted is what they recieve .
i am a 2nd generation contractor . i started in 1973 out of school.working with wood either building a house an addition or making a set of custom cabinets is my passion .i am fortunate to be doing what i like . my website is scotthorne general contractor. i enjoy meeting new customers and the challege of a new project through completion and a satisfied customer .

an onsite meeting to discuss their project . discuss exactly what they are looking for to make their project as stress free and individual as they are. then signing a contract and completing the project to a schedule that meets the customers wants and needs .

certain items can be priced on a square foot basis , but i like to price the job to the individual customer and their specs.
How did you get started in this business?
started with my uncle in 1973 .he was a custom home builder and remodeler . i went in my own business in 1979 .

i work with people of all walks of life and income brackets .
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
look for an contractor who has expertise in your specific project . also make sure you are comfortable with them .
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
do your homework .have a good idea of what you want and the type of materials etc. you want in your project .
