We believe that the quality our services are in the hands of our staff. It is a very personal and sometimes intimidaing experience, inviting strangers into your home. The people that we bring to our clients homes must be top notch, well rounded individuals. Ergo Errands has a team of AMAZING staff, all with diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
We stick to a value system of “people over profit”. Meaning, we value our staff and treat them well. Our profit margin is low and our staff wages are sustainably focused.
Our sole income is the hourly rate that we charge, which goes towards sustainable wages. We pay our staff for their travel time in between jobs, office time, include tax withholdings / employer paid taxes and up to 40 hours of sick pay per year. We cover liability insurance, workers compensation insurance and provide support in the office while they are in the field. We truly care that our staff are not a cog in a machine, are truly heard, cared for, and are positive contributors at Ergo Errands and in our community.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For all new clients, we have the following process for receiving a quote, checking our availability and booking a job:
1) Please fill out our quote form here: https://quote.ergoerrands.com/
2) After you fill out our quote form, you will receive a quote instantly via email. There will be a link to check our availability and choose a cleaning time. Please note, the quote that you receive is an approximation and we charge hourly. You have the option of hiring us for a number of hours or for a full cleaning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been servicing Portland since 2008. Our cleaning processes and systems have been tested, tried and applied over the years and is continually being refined. We are always aiming for efficiency and thoroughness.
All new hires work one on one with a trainer. They go through a rigorous 2-3 month training process.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our work is billed hourly. This means any estimate provided is a guide, instead of a final price. You can hire us for a number of hours to focus on specific priority rooms or for a full cleaning of your space. For example, if you want us to clean every room in your house from top to bottom, your bill is based off of the number of hours it takes. If you want to pay a specific price, you can hire us for a number of hours and we’ll do a stellar job in one or more rooms in your home.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
We encourage that you look at the quality of service through how a service pays their staff, how they're treated and by their company culture. There will be a direct correlation in quality of services that you receive and how their staff are valued.
