What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The 1st thing we do is gather information about your project to be done. The timeline for completion and what you would like done in greater detail. Then we arrange a time to meet at the location of your project and do a complete and thorough walk around discussing the details of what needs to done and how we would do it. Afterward we provide a highly detailed proposal within 2-3 business days. When you are ready to schedule your job, you then contact us to schedule a time to meet and complete a contract.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With 20 years experience in residential home painting and 13 years running the biz. Along with having with having put 100% passion and intention into provinding the best workmanship at all times. We have educated ourselves through reading about the best home painting practices and during which we have developed our painting systems that achieve superior results in a reasonable amount of time.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We use a proven estimating system that we started using in the beginning that once we gather the lineal feet and square feet of everything to be painted, we use these numbers to decide the cost of both the labor and the paint. Unless we run into unforeseen work such as dry rot, silicone caulking, inner-coat adheasion issues, etc... Or unless you don't add work that goes beyond the proposal, then your price does not change.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started in the business after painting several homes in a gated community. I was encouraged to go into business for myself because they said, "no one does the prep like or or makes a home look so well painted as you." I took their recommendation and now have painted over 50 homes and a gated community of 78 homes. Now after 13 years we have repainted about 6 we painted 11 and 12 years ago.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with homeowners who desire the highest quality service and quality. Who live in their home and desire that paint job they won't have to worry about for many years to come. Typically if a homeowner is looking for a fast turn over sell, they desire a speedy paint crew that disregards the quality standards we live by.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would say, always look at the work of the painters if possible, not just the pictures or the reviews. Because these can obscure the truth. Seeing a job in person is going to be a much greater example of what you can expect.
