What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule and complete the estimate process. When we are hired we consult with the client on scheduling with our wholesalers and designers to choose the materials for the space. Once the cosmetics are selected, We will order them. Once we have all the materials in stock we will schedule the installation. For a normal kitchen or bathroom, depending on the motivation of the client this whole process takes about 3 to 4 weeks for selecting, ordering and receiving the materials. (Currently we are 8 to 12 weeks on semi-custom cabinets and box cabinets.) Then we are typically backed up a couple of months before we can begin your project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in carpentry and construction of one type or another for more than 25 years. I have built roads and bridges, run heavy equipment, built custom homes and commercial framing and building. I am what one would consider a jack of all trades. When it comes to your home we can do it all.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We use a standard pricing system that is updated quarterly by an outside source. Our pricing is competitve for a licensed and insured contractor of equal size and overhead.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always enjoyed taking old things apart and putting them back together new. It gives one a real since of pride to take something old and ugly and make it new and beautiful. I wasn't really seeking to be a full time business, it was just a side job for me. But after several years of part time. The demand for our services grew and grew to the point it just became a full time business supporting 10 full time subs that take on the bulk of our work and more than 30 independent subs like roofers, electricians, plumbers etc... that fill the small needs of doing residential and commercial projects.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with both residential and commercial customers doing most projects. However there is such a demand for our service that we have to limit our service area to Oklahoma City and some of the suburbs. Please do not be offended if we tell you that your project is out of our service area. We just don't have the ability to take on projects that are further out and be able to maintain our quality and pricing.
