My typical process is meet the customer and say my name and I start to calculate how many square feet it is to start making up a fair price for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education is basic but I have been working on this for almost my whole life or about 28 years and many times I have visited the osha School.

For me it is preferable to call with the customer or meet them in person to discuss the price.

My last project I made for my customer with stairs and custom stones.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advice would be to make sure the company's have insurance for example Workscomp.and liability... And that way you make sure that you do not have any problems.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Ask in how many days is the job going to be done in, and ask if anything might be at risk of taking any damage.
