Dr. Handyman

Russell Kanipes *aka AARK Handyman) is a conman and a thief. He is currently in jail for breaking pronation odn a similar charge as ours. We hired him 7/15/23 to build 55 ft od wood fence. Agter many exuses he finally showed up. Demanded a $1000 deposit on an $1800 quote. Showed up one day. put the fence 41 inches too far away from the property line*effectively giving us 3 and half feet LESS yard) , made a mess, used rotten wood. Intimidated and threatened my wife to pay more money to get the rest of the materials, harrasses and intimidation the next day too for $500 more. Refused to acccept a check the second and third time. Didnt show up more fays than not. food poisioning, car trouble, personal issues ...excuses. Run his name thru warren cty, Hamilton cty..BBB. Left us with half a rotten wood fence which he refused to supply receipts goe. Kept forgetting. I had to PAY to get him lisenced in out city which he was going to reimburse me for. He aggressively demanded more and more $$ for materials, yet the wood he used was black and rotte. Now we are filing a police report which works out well as he was picked up last night in Warren cty for probation violations from a felony theft charge for the same thing. An absolute nightmare

Russell did the work that was promised at a fair and reasonable price. He repaired my chimney that had split mortar and some cracked bricks. He showed up when he said he would, worked the job on the roof despite the rain, and cleaned up the job well. Overall, I am satisfied.

Hired for some tuck pointing to stop a leak. The job was challenging and Russell went above and beyond to try and get the problem fixed.

Russell the supervisor, is very knowledgeable in this industry. He and his team constructed and built my shed roof on and exciting roof. It look like one roof. He and his team very personal and professional in all manner. I would recommend Russell and team. If fact I am thinking of having them do some other project for me. Sincerely, Walter Vaughn
