Well I do this on the side so my prices are affordable... basically I'm not trying to make a career out of a broken mower. I enjoy fixing them I grew up fixing small engine stuff so now I teach my kids how to.
The big thing that makes this enjoyable is helping people with my knowledge so that they don't have to go out and spend a lot on repairs that isn't necessary.
