About
I charge a "do everything I can in an hour" fee It's only half the cost of a tune-up at a shop, but I get a lot more done. No "bench fee" or special "diagnostic toubleshooting" upcharges.
Sometimest that means it may be a quick resolve to the problem but I just keep adjusting, tightening, and wrenching to take the mower back to state of being more reliable and dependable.
I am in an IT role during the day, so I can't wait to get home and wrench, troubleshoot, and repair. I usually have a few mowers so even if you have a mower you think is just about worn out, I have backups available as an option.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Tell them the specials, they pick whether to get the break fix or go the tune-up route. I take the $45 payment upfront, then communicate any additional parts or safety concerns approved via message.
Most of the time that $45 completes the order, and the customer picks their mower up quickly, but sometimes a customer wants additional things like drive wheels, on-line filters, or valve adjustments and I can quote those for cost.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
8 years experience working in this field.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
$45 break/fix to get it going again
75% of the time it's carb issues and a tedious cleaning in and ultrasonic cleaner is enough to remedy this. If it requires a part or a suggestion to keep it running longer or better, I give a quote for that as well and get it approved before doing the work.
$55 Tune-up
Assumes your mower is running but needs a before or mid-season preventative maintenance . Includes a blade sharpening and balance, air filter replacement, oil change, carb bowl cleaning, spark plug clean and gap.
How did you get started in this business?
I was so upset over the way local shops acted, the length of time they expected to keep your mower, and shockingly the prices they charged so I cut the prices, provide a better experience and service.
Custom work such as rework, painting, and welding is also available.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Business owners to normal neighborhood lawn mowers looking to keep their machine going another season.
