Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We always try to look out for our older clients. One day I went to a customer's home to do work, and a roofer was putting up a new roof. I even spoke to him. And two months later he was out putting up the roof again. So I went to my customer's daughter's home and told her something just wasn't right. Come to find out he was about to take advantage of her. Long story short, I believe he is now in jail, and we found out he was known to take advantage of older people. So I learned to watch out for them.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Always ask for references, and never just go with the first price quote that you get. Get at least 3 quotes from companies and then decide.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Are you reliable? Do you have insurance? How many people will be working at my house?
