What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to consult via Telephone and determine the customers needs/wants and then show up on-site to perform the necessary services.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am original Apple Wiz Kid. I have been fixing/programming computers since I was 8 years old.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is as follows:
On-Site Services: $115/hr, 1 hr minimum then charged by the 1/4 hr after the 1st hour. No Charge for travel time.
Remote Access Services: $115/hr, billed by the 1/4 hour. No minimum.
How did you get started in this business?
I orginally did computer work for family and friends, setting up networks, building computer systems, and creating inventory software.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work mainly with Small to Medium size Business (typically 15 computers or less) and many Home Office Businesses. I also perform work for personal computer needs.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently setup a new computer system for a repeat client. She was ecstatic at how fast, efficiently, and thoroughly I performed everything.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would recommend you look for someone that has been around for awhile (working on computers) and local to your area with good references.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What is the cost? How long will it take? Do you have any references?
