What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Dean Weiss Landscape meets at the customers convenience for a free consultation. For work that may cost under $1,000.00 we can provide a proposal imediately. For Landscape Designs, the process may take up to a week to receive a scale drawing & an itemized proposal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Arts degree which has been critical in providing beautiful landscape design presentations. Also I am a Certified Landscape installer for pavers and retaining walls. I have accumulated multiple credits from Rutgers relating to various types of landscape concerns.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The labor rate gererally is $50.00 per man hour. The disposal rate for natural debris is $50.00 per yard.
How did you get started in this business?
I started landscaping while I was in college and never stopped.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work for residential, commercial & industrial property owners. Also local, state, & federal governments.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
Outside living spaces are my favorite creations. Last year we designed & built an epic fireplace, patio extension, plantings & low voltage lighting.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Judge people on their responce time and attentiveness to detail. Referrals are also a good request.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
A customer should consider what they would like to accomplish despite budget. Unless you know what landscaping costs before you start, dont sell yourself short on your ideas and end up with buyers remorse.
