Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1.When will my project get underway and/or completed?
Once you contact us to book your project, we will let you know how far out the schedule is at that time. However, our schedule changes on a daily basis. We recommend booking you project ASAP and as early as possible in order to prevent a longer lead time as our schedule fills quickly. This all depends on how many clients will book on any given day.
2. How do I book my project?
Simply give the office a call or email. Sign and date the estimate that you received along with the specified deposit amount. Both of these things are REQUIRED to get on the work schedule. If there is any part of the estimate you are not doing simply cross it off or let us know. We do not assume everyone will hire us, so you must contact us.
3. Is there any other details for which I am responsible?
Yes, if there are any color or style selections that pertain to pavers or retaining walls, or any other type of material that requires you to pick something. This needs to be done early to ensure any and all materials are in stock and available.
4. What do we do about our sprinkler system?
If you have sprinklers in the project area, we recommend the heads be marked prior to start time. If your project requires anything to be moved, adjusted, or capped off that will be addressed prior to start time. ANY AND ALL sprinkler work will be an add’l charge. We did not install your sprinklers so we do not know where the lines run or where the heads are located.
5. Can I have references or do you have project photos I can look at?
Yes, we will provide a list of references upon request. You can also visit our Website, Houzz profile to see photos. radiklandscapeconstruction.com
6. Do I have a warranty?
Yes, there is a 2 year warranty on hardscape installations.
There is no warranty/guarantee on sod installations. It must be watered consistently. Period!
7. Is there anything that would delay the start of my project?
Yes, there are a variety of reasons. The 2 most important are the weather which we cannot control and not having all the proper documents, deposits, or selections into the office. Also, if at anytime you decide to change the scope of work to be done by deleting or adding add’l work our office needs to notified ASAP. This is so we can adjust the schedule accordingly and get a change order to you. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and the quality of our work. We will not compromise that just to get something done.
8. Can you get my project done in time for my special party or gathering?
We cannot make any promises or guarantees. Our schedule fills quickly for the year so please understand that we will not place more importance on one client over another.
9. We ask that you please keep in mind this---- Please be patient, patient, patient. Our office is not like all others. We are in the outdoor business. We have a lot of projects to do in a shortened time window/year. We cannot stress enough things get very busy very quickly and sometimes a phone call, estimate, invoice, something may fall through the cracks. This is definitely not intentional. We have happily been in business since 1994 and we truly appreciate the opportunities given with each customer whether it be residential or commercial, large or small. We are just as excited to start your project as you are to have it done.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
All estimates/consultations are custom to the customer's needs. We do have some installations/products that have a standard pricing. Not everyone's wants and needs are the same that's why meeting with homeowners on site is so important. From there we can create a plan specifically for them.
How did you get started in this business?
Working for another contractor while in college
Proudly been in business since 1994
Celebrated 25 years in 2019
What types of customers have you worked with?
We do both residential and commercial projects.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
What we are really proud of as a small business is our repeat clients and our referrals from past and present clients. It tells us that we are doing something right. Our quality of work and the passion we put into each project whether small or large shows and is appreciated. To have clients with that level of trust in us speaks volumes. I guess that's why we have been in business since 1994.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you get more than one estimate.
Once you have the estimates, when making a decision make sure you are comparing apples to apples.
With outdoor/hardscape work, if you are trying to get it done for an event, make a decision and call for estimates well in advance. Most contractors including ourselves are extremely busy during those working months and our customers know to call us months in advance.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
1. Their Budget
2. Wants vs. Needs
3. Timeframe- Being realistic when you call don't expect to get it done in a couple weeks
