Excelsior Professional Painting is more than a conventional residential and commercial painting company. As the head of the company, I have been painting, pressure washing, and performing restoration painting to homes since 1986. We take pride in our work and produce exceptional, long lasting results at competitive rates.
We use premium materials and don’t cut corners. One of our specialties is in deck cleaning, staining, and restoration. I am certified in wood restoration through Deck Restoration Plus in New Jersey.

I enjoy taking something that looks bad to making it look really great. I enjoy seeing the faces of customers when that old deck that was weathered is made to look new again. Or that room with dated color schemes is brought to new life with a fresh coat of paint and the joy it brings to the customer. I enjoy the feeling of doing quality work and putting that first as our primary goal.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We set an appointment to meet with the client and discuss what project they are working on to determine their needs and wants. We take measurements. Then we email an estimate once the estimate is created.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the business in since 1986. My painters all have 12 years or more experience. I am certified in Deck and Wood restoration through Deck Restoration Plus in New Jersey.

How did you get started in this business?
A friend who was a painter asked me to come work for him. He trained me to be a skilled painter.

Our customers are mostly residential home owners.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are insured. Look for painters who focus on quality. Don't go with the cheapest bid. You get what you pay for.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

What is your budget? Is it realistic for the work you want done?
When you build a luxury item such as a deck, will you be able to afford to maintain it? What do you expect it will cost to maintain? How often do you need to stain it or paint it to prevent deterioration. Find out the answers to these questions first before buiding the deck or structure. Nature is not kind. Any exterior structure, by nature, degrades and requires reqular maintenance. This costs money.The longer it goes without maintenance, the more costly it becomes.
