What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After initial contact I can give an estimate in person or via phone. I explain what we provide during the service and ask general questions to determine what the customers end results are.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been in the service industry for 19 years! Customer focus president for 6 years at a local newspaper. I've worked/ managed hospitality businesses for years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We have a minimum fee of $75 each job is unique and depends on the actual job! We can do an hourly rate or a set fee.
How did you get started in this business?
I wanted to provide a Service that helped other and gave me a feeling of fulfillment. My aunt suffers from a rare nerve disorder and needed someone to help her with a wide variety of projects in her home. After trying to find one or two companies we realized that she would have to hire 5-7 different companies to complete these odds & ends she needed done so the idea of starting a unique home Maintenace solutions company started! There are no other businesses in the area who can provide you with all of the services we offer!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with animal lovers, hoarders, tidy & messy, young & old, I dont Pick and choose I serve everyone.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Anytime spent with my family & friends especially my husband of 19 years and our 2 boys. Work related each job we do is unique & catered to exactly what the customer needs so looking back I recently worked with a retired school teacher who was packing up her home to move 300 miles away to a home with her daughter. I worked side by side to sort through her entire home sharing all her memories with her during the process of downsizing, donating unwanted items, packing & labeling her home for the moving company to take. Her excitement to he close to her family & finally taking that step and knowing I helped make her transition less stressful just warms my heart!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Check their references, never pay the full amount up front & have your agreement in writing.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
General idea of what your looking for as well as where you want them to start!
