This job experience is very fulfilling in that it fulfills my innate creative drive, enables me to interact with the public in a way that is personally meaningful, and hones my business skills daily. Because I am primarily a one-woman operation I consult with the customers, design the job to their custom specifications, manufacture, install and follow up on all jobs. My reputation is important to me; therefore, I like to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. The most important thing I have learned is to intently listen to the customers objectives. The hardest part of the job can be meeting deadlines, though rare, that may require 24-hour shifts or more. The most enjoyable part of the job is the creative aspect of design.

Loved the work, loved being my own boss. I learned a lot of thing working for myself and really loved the freedom. Wish the economy would have supported it better.

Working for southern customs was one of the best jobs I have ever had. Everybody treated me like family and we always got along. Each person did their job so there was never just one person having to over work. I highly recommend this job for anybody who loves to work outside.
