What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would come out and look at what work needs to be done and take measurements , then I would go over everything with the home owner to make sure I accomplish everything they need done.

I worked for a contractor for 6 years remodeling houses.

Handyman services I charge 40 an hour. For any construction like sheetrock, mud and taping and painting I would have to see what I'm working with and measure it out first.

I started with a construction company and honed in my skills until I was ready to go off on my own.

I would say a big construction company won't give the same kind of quality and attention to detail as someone working on there own.
