About

We pride ourselves at being excellent communicators, having well organized projects and worksites, and working with clients to ensure that their voices are heard and budgets are respected.

We enjoy the challenges. Whether it be remodeling an old farm house or keeping a tight schedule to ensure projects are completed for special events. Every project is different and fun.

Though the challenges are fun and rewarding, meeting new clients and seeing the excitement of a project well executed is probably most rewarding..

Kim A.

It was by chance that I found Justin and Overbuilt Construction. I had never used a contractor and felt like I hit the jackpot! Not only did he listen and hear what my thoughts were for remodeling my kitchen and the main floor of my condo, he got what I had envisioned in my mind. Also when I asked for advice on certain parts of the project, he gave helpful and useful advice with his years of experience working in this field. So grateful for that. I always appreciated him responding by text or email if I had a question.
Also, the individuals he has working with him are wonderful and their work is second to none. Great group of guys!
I still pinch myself when I walk from my master bedroom to my new, beautiful main living area. Ummm, master bedroom is next and I know who I will be contacting when that time comes. =)
Thank you so much Justin and all at Overbuilt Contruction!

Frequently asked questions

Typically, we like to schedule a time to meet with the client and discuss there needs, wants, timeline, and budget.  While we're there we like to take measurements if need be or get any documentation that helps with the bidding process.  Usually a couple days after our meeting we reach out with any questions and let them know where we are in the estimation process or if anything else is needed to complete the bid.  We submit our bid and schedule another time to look it over with them and answer any questions they might have, and hopefully during that meeting we recieve the approval for the work and get it scheduled.

Justin has 17 years of industry experience working in various trades from electrical, plumbing, concrete, and general construction, 2 years of trade school, and 10 years of project management experience.

We do with certain aspects of what we do, but some projects contain so many variables that it is hard to bid effectively off a standardized pricing system.

The business was started in 2016 by Sarina after seeing a need to keep the employees of her husband's (Justin), landscape company busy between plowing in the winter.  Many of them had experience in the construction field so it was a natural fit.

After the first winter, the demand had grown so much that new crews had to be formed to handle the workload.  Justin, handles most of the sales and project management, while Sarina handles interior design, assists with project management and keeps Justin on task.

We have worked with all types of clients. Our attention to detail doesn't change, just the materials that we work with in each project.

We recently completed a very large heated and paver driveway project.  It was a very tight timeline on the brink of winter, with a lot of moving parts.  Even after finding many problems with the soils and utilites on the property, we were able to keep the project on track and finish all of the driveway surfaces before the weather turned bad.  It was a fun project, stressful at times, but so rewarding when it was all done.

Be comfortable with them.

The chances are that you will be working with them for a time, and depending on the project they will be in and out of your house.  As a contractor we know we want the same. We want to mesh with the client and know they have full faith in us to complete the project and will treat their home as if it were our own.

Do some research.

The internet is full of sites that can give you a good idea of the general process, timeline, and cost of the project you are looking to undertake. It's good to have an idea on whether you can afford the project or not before you even call a contractor to meet with.

Expectations.

The real world is not as glamorous as it is on HGTV and most major projects can not be completed a couple days.  And know that these projects will take some time and a good contractor will be up front with you to help you manage those expectations.

If inside, your house will get dusty, it will get dirty, no matter how many countermeasures the contractor deploys to minimize it and it will disrupt your life for a time..

These projects will not last forever, though while you are in the middle of it, it may seem like it.  Weather, unforseeable conditions behind a wall, and products with manufacturer defects can all push out a schedule.
