What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Since I am a independently owned franchise I receive excellent support from corporate resources.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We charge by the hour for move-in, move-out, and one-time cleanings. For recurring service we give a flat price based on the size of the home, number of rooms and other factors.
How did you get started in this business?
Wanted to own my own business. I did two and half years of research and due diligence and chose Molly Maid.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly residential home owners.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
Provided a one-time cleaning for an elderly woman who is unable to clean her own home. She was so grateful that we now clean her home on a weekly basis.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
There is a lot of competition out there. While independent cleaners are often cheaper they usually are not insured and bonded. Depending on the cleaning arrangement made, the customer may be responsible for taxes and issuing 1099s. With Molly Maid your are hiring a contractor and all tax implication are the responsibility of Molly Maid.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
1. Is the company insured and bonded?
2. Who provides the cleaning supplies and equipment?
3. Are the people cleaning the home employees of the company or the home owner?
4. Make sure any hourly quotes are based on two person teams. Some companies quotes are for one person but they send two and the cost is actually doubled.
5. Are the employees legal to work in the USA?
6. Can the employees speak English?
