    Lines of communication were open and very clear, right from the beginning. Marcela and her team took time to understand exactly what we wanted, and asked all the right questions of us about the way we contemplated the work to proceed, and how we envisioned the project when completed. The team was very skilled, and are much more than "handy". We could not be happier with the finished product.

    We hired MetroHandy to replace an old gate in a stockade fence. The primary problem was that the gate had sagged so that it stuck and was hard to open.They came out to look at it promptly and gave us a very reasonable price for the work. They told us that one of the fence posts needed to be replaced. The estimate called for one to be replaced but neither were replaced. The bid also called for pressure treated 2x4s and 2x6s. I did not renegotiate the price but paid the full estimate even though they didn't replace the post, did not use pressure treated lumber and used 2x3s and 2x4s. Two days later, the gate started sticking again. Since they had to come back to get some materials they had not taken initially, they inspected the gate, tightened the hinges and the gate worked ok. They also told me that the post they had initially said was ok might need to be replaced. Two days later it was binding again. I emailed them, but was told that I would have to pay to have the post replaced at a cost of more than 50% of the original price even though the original contract included replacing a post which they hadn't done. I have not heard from them since even though I have emailed them about the situation. In short, they were hired to replace a gate that stuck and they replaced it with a new gate that also sticks and that was not made of the materials promised. Now they have ghosted me.
