What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want to know what my you need, or want, to do. I'll ask you what obstacles keep you from your goal. I then suggest steps which will carry you towards your ultimate aim, and explain the cost associated with each step.
Customer education is a big part of what I do. You may be able to do for yourself what you've asked me to do for you. In those cases, I provide guidance, and good sources of online documentation that will help you get yourself where you need to go.
In other cases, where I perform actual work for you, I explain every step of what I am doing, so that you understand what is being done. You might not have access to me in any given moment in the future, so I aim to make it easy for the next person to follow my work.
